The National Monument Landgoed Ekenstein, a historical treasure in the province of Groningen, is temporarily closes due to a large-scale reinforcement and implementation of 'planned maintenance' to preserve its centuries-old splendor. Landgoed Ekenstein- located in Appingedam - will temporarily close its doors from 1 January 2024. It is expected that a fully reinforced and restored Ekenstein will open its doors again at the end of 2025.
The hotel and restaurant of Landgoed Ekenstein will close their doors during this period. However, the adjacent petting zoo and the park will remain open to the public to enjoy the natural splendor of the estate.
