Meetings at Landgoed Ekenstein

The Landgoed Ekenstein Hotel is an old borg built in 1648. The building has several beautiful old rooms with all the comfort and mod cons we expect today. There's the stately Hall of Knights, for example, the neo-Gothic style Lounge, the Regency room and the Parlour (Voorkamer). These rooms are ideally suited for dinner during or after a meeting. The rooms are available for a minimum of 4 people at no extra cost. We also have facilities for larger meetings and 28 hotel rooms. And then there's the monumental ‘Schathoes’ with its conservatory. This is the perfect place for hosting large-scale dinners, parties or conferences and is one of the most popular conference venues in the province of Groningen.
It is surrounded by parkland with winding paths, designed in 1827 by the landscape architect Lucas Pieter Roodbaard. Walking through the park, you are walking in the footsteps of Lord Alberda van Ekenstein. Steeped in history, this is the perfect setting in which to escape the chaos of everyday life and seek inspiration.
Landgoed Ekenstein in Appingedam is just a 20-minute drive from the city of Groningen. It has plenty of free parking space.
